«We present this third compilation from advices of the Book and the
Sunnah, beginning with the rights of the Companions, what is obligatory for them from their followers, just as it has come in the texts of the Book and the Sunnah and the statements of the Pious Predecessors of the Ummah, so that the noble promise is actualized for us when we follow them exactly in faith, and all praise and thanks are for Allah, the Lord of all that exists.
