Description
The Story of the Prophet Muhammad from ibn Kathir Stories of the Prophets (25080)
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was born in Makkah on 12 Rabi al-Awwal, the Year of the Elephant. His father's name was 'Abd-Allah ibn 'Abd al-Muttalib al-Hashimi, and his mother was Amina Bint Wahb. At that time, Makkah was full of idols that the Arabs worshipped. When the Prophet's (ﷺ) mother gave birth to him, a light illuminated the house as well as the palaces of Syria. When he was born, his grandfather brought him to the Ka'bah, he invoked Allah and thanked Him. He chose for him the name Muhammad.
