This book aims to foster greater understanding of the miraculous event of al-Isra’ wa al-Mi’raj (The Night Journey and the Ascension of Prophet Mohammad: SAW). It is hoped to provide you with a comprehensive guide regarding the truth. The general principle is that: what is factual and rightful should be followed, not what is imposed on by false aspiration or what rests merely on the belief of ancestors. · A true Muslim takes the Qur’an and the Sunnah (the traditions) of the Prophet Mohammad (SAW) as the main sources of his/her code of conduct which includes private and public dealings. A great number of Muslims treat the night of al-Isra’ wal-Mi’raj as special and hold it in high reverence. On the 27th of Rajab, they often celebrate the night through gathering and feeding people in the homes or in the mosques. Assemblies are held to remember the event and the whole story is told in poetry, chants, or lectures.
