Islam's Cure to the Madness of Modern-Day Cults
By Rasheed Barbee
This book was inspired by a question I received in which the questioner said, "I'm not a Muslim. I'm interested in Isläm, but my friends and I joke that it's like a cult. Why does Isläm seem like a cult?" Islam's Cure to the Madness of Modern-Day Cults is my response to the question.
Cult: an organized heresy, or religious perversion that deviates from the orthodox faith of a larger religion.
Presently, there are an estimated 10,000 cults worldwide. These cults are guilty of misguiding countless people, robbing them of their wealth, stripping away their innocence, and, in many cases, murdering them.
Due to misinformation and negative stereotypes, some have attempted to classify Islam as a cult. In this treatise, we compare the beliefs and practices of Islam against the beliefs and practices of 80 moder-day cults to clarify to the fair-minded truth seeker that Isläm is not a cult.
Isläm is a religion of pure monotheism, noble character, and ethics.
