Very good book

This treasure trove is a must-have for every Muslim household, providing an insane amount of content for the money, with chapters covering possibly the widest variety of topics in the religion within one book. Whether you are looking for hadith on the different aspects of aqidah; fiqh rulings (prayer, fasting, etc.); manners and dealings; the hereafter; merits and virtues; tafsir of selected verses of the Qur’an; stories of the prophets; events of the seerah; you name it, you will find something about it. It is truly the most accessible way for anybody to read and benefit from the efforts of Imam Bukhari to compile together only the narrations from the Prophet (peace be upon him) where scholars have agreed upon its authenticity to the strictest degree via the chains of narration. Having the Arabic and English side-by-side is a very effective way for the English speaking reader to build their Arabic skills as they read each hadith and match up the words in Arabic with the translation. As this is a later edition, many translation defects have been tidied up compared to older copies of this book, thus the English side reads much more seamlessly than before. Out of the three choices in size, this size is the sweet spot (best choice for most use-cases) in terms of price and ease of reading as well as having the best cover design. Some important differences from the original 9-volume counterpart to consider: * There are 2602 hadith cut down from the original 7563 following a removal of repetitions * Some chapters may be merged or omitted deeper into the compilation due to the above reduction * Full chains of narration are omitted in the Arabic text, leaving just the companion that narrated the hadith, for ease of reading * Chapter headings have been shortened and commentaries provided by Imam Bukhari underneath many headings are omitted
