Salah (A Guide To Prayer In Islam)
The booklet is designed to teach new Muslims and non-practising Muslims how to offer the prayer.
It also includes other related information such as preparing for the prayer and the different types and levels of prayer. It is neither extremely concise nor extremely detailed but takes a position between the two. It has been written in simple language and includes some transliterations to assist readers with correct Arabic punctuation in the Prayer, supplications and some short Surah of the Qur’an.
The information in this booklet is based on authentic traditions of Muhammad who recommended his followers to offer the prayer as he himself did and, in writing this booklet, I have also referred to the most authentic sources and reliable books and scholars of the four orthodox schools of thought in Islam. Regarding controversial issues, I have also done my best to state what I believe is the most correct position, relying on authentic proofs.
