THE OBLIGATION OF REPENTING TO ALLAH AND SUBMITTING TO HIM
WHEN CALAMITIES
DESCEND
Verily, Allah by His extensive wisdom, Irrefutable record (account), & His All Encompassing Knowledge of everything He puts His slaves through tests in times of ease and hardship, difficult moments and comfort, by way of blessings & punishment.
For the purpose of testing the servant's degree of patience & level of gratitude, so whomever demonstrates patience in times of trials & gratitude in moments of ease beseeching Allah the One free of imperfection in times of crisis.
Complaining to Allah only about his sins as well as his shortcomings, supplicating to Allah to shower him with His Mercy & Pardoning. The slave is granted success in every way. Additionally being granted a pleasant ending. Allah says in His tremendous Book,
"Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: "We believe" and will not be tested. And we indeed tested those who were before them & Allah will certainly make it known (the truth of) those who are true, & will certainly make (it) known (the falsehood of) those who are liars".
